Role Overview: Provide hand therapy services to private and third-party clientele. Liaise with treating doctors, surgeons, and other stakeholders in delivering the best outcomes. Maintain accurate records. Full-time – approx. 38 hours per week

Skills and Experience:

  •  Experience in hand therapy and splinting is essential
  • Knowledge of upper limb anatomy and physiological aspects of hand and upper limb conditions and trauma.
  • Willingness to learn and preparedness to maintain continuing education.
  • Outstanding communication skills both in person and over the phone
  • Excellent client service skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new software packages and processes
  • Ability to maintain a positive and energetic vibe amongst our team and with clients whilst simultaneously managing day-to-day tasks

The Sunshine Coast is a great place to live and work. The University Hospital and new Medical school are attracting new Clinicians and expanding services. Sunshine Coast Hand Therapy is the longest-running Hand Therapy practice servicing the Sunshine Coast and its environs. It has well-established relationships with local and Brisbane-based surgeons as well as the local medical community. There are two modern and well-equipped sites at Cotton Tree in Maroochydore and Birtinya adjacent to the University Hospital. There is now a position available for an enthusiastic full-time therapist to work in a team environment with appropriate support and mentoring.
