Hand Therapist wanted to join our friendly, supportive, and professional team in Sylvia Park

We are looking for a hand therapist or trainee hand therapist to join our hand therapy clinic, located in the easily accessible Sylvia Park Medical Centre, Mt Wellington, Auckland.

This position can be part-time or full-time. All staff have access to daily on-site supervision and training by our experienced team, tailored to their requirements. Ongoing CPD is supported & encouraged with a generous allowance.

Tamaki Hands was established in 2011 and remains owner-operated by founder Elaine Duguid.   We receive a wide range of referrals for hand and lower arm injuries and conditions: from walk-ins to complex post-ops from Counties Manukau Health (one of the four regional plastic surgery centres in NZ). Our central focus is to achieve optimum results for our patients within a welcoming & friendly environment for all. We have strong links with local clinics, hospitals, and hand surgeons.

Our clinic is light and purpose-built with many windows looking out to Pohutukawa trees. The clinic building sets high sustainability standards, earning New Zealand's first 6-Star Green Star Design & As Built rating for sustainability. Convenient location, next to a train station, able to be reached via the multiple bus routes that flow in and out of Sylvia Park, and the Southern Motorway feeder ramps are close by. The building features excellent end of trip facilities, including extensive bike parking and modern, digitally enabled changing facilities.

We provide full admin support, user-friendly practise management and exercise software, as well as professional fees reimbursement. Remuneration will reflect the skills and experience you bring to the position.

Professional requirements:

• Member of Physiotherapy New Zealand or Occupational Therapy New Zealand
• New Zealand Registered or Associate Hand Therapist (optional, registration as an associate hand therapist can be organised at the start of employment)
